General Manager’s Message
ONFC’s mission is to foster a sustainable food system.
We do this by bringing to market, products that are grown organically, locally, fairly traded and without the use of GMO’s. We source our products from companies who practise sustainability and who pay attention to the triple bottom line; economic, social and environmental. Our wide varieties of products are naturally processed with a variety of health benefits including allergen-free ingredients. (e.g., Gluten free). We have a range of household products that are earth friendly, biodegradable, recycled or compostable. We work with companies who support our long-term vision of living in a sustainable world, for now and for the future.
ONFC is realizing continued growth reflecting the demand for our products and services. Our financial success is critical to ensure that we can meet our commitment to our members, suppliers, and customers by offering product quality and availability, education and outreach to the greater community at large. Our passion and vision is demonstrated by our growth, the quality of our committed staff members and other stakeholders in the co-op.
We see the movement of food from field to table as one that fosters win-win partnerships towards mutually beneficial goals. Our co-operative nature supports our democratic principles and member participation in the long term direction of the organization and influences how we take our products to market.
